Mission Descriptions
Mission #53
Urgent! from ComSubPac to U S S Reliant naval intelligence fears that the enemy has built and deployed a floating battle fortress of impressive destructive power. It is suspected that it can launch strike aircraft against land targets as well as engage sea going targets with aircraft, deck guns, depth charges and torpedos. It is suppose to be in the enemy harbor in e3 sector 33. You must put to sea with a naval engineer aboard to verify targets existence, specs and defenses and report them back to a vessel waiting at c5 sector 33 then you must return and destroy fortress before she puts to sea. Both your vessel and crew are expendible on this mission. Expect heavy resistance and god speed. You must try to avoid a conflict on the open sea. if possible. It is thought that the enemy have traded maneuverability and speed for armor fire power.
